Pastor Alexander McDonald, III has served
as pastor of Second Baptist Church, since
November 1, 1985. He is an honor
graduate of Livingstone College,
Salisbury, North Carolina, where he
received his BS Degree in Business
Administration (with a concentration
in Accounting). He is also an honor
graduate of New York Theological
Seminary, Manhattan, NY, where he
received his Master of Divinity
Degree and in May, 2006 he received
his Doctorate of Ministry from Drew
University.
He has been the husband to his childhood
sweetheart, Jacqueline Boyd McDonald
since July of 1980. They both are
the proud parents of three,
Alexander IV, Tiffany Nicole and
Stephanie Renee. He was employed
with Westinghouse Elevator Company
for 13 years as a Financial Analyst
and Marketing Sales Engineer.
Pastor McDonald is an energetic man who leads by
example, working shoulder to
shoulder with his parishioners.
He has received countless awards, honors and
citations. He was formerly the President of the Paterson Pastor’s
Workshop (leading in its
incorporation status), a former
Executive Board member of the United
Way - Passaic County; and a former Board
member of the Morris County Girl
Scouts. While at Livingstone
College, he was elected to "Who’s
Who Among Students in American
Universities and Colleges" in
recognition of outstanding merit and
accomplishment as a student.
