The Fine Arts Ministry strives to glorify God through music and drama in all worship experiences. The mission of the ministry supports the vision of the church; we strive to make a commitment to educate, train, and build ourselves and our communities through music, dance, mime, and drama ~ seeking God first. The ministries that are part of the Fine Arts Ministry of Second Baptist Church are:
The Music Ministry's goal is to encourage committed members to use their gifts and talents in order to effectively usher God's people into His presence through song.
“Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.” Colossians 3:16
The Voices of Praise overall goal as a ministry of worship is to be a means by which God can use them to lead the congregation through songs in preparation for the preached Word of God.

The members of the Praise Dance Ministry mission is to minister as one (as a whole) and to win and bring souls to Christ through the art of Dance.
" I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel. Again you will take up your tambourines
and go out to dance with the joyful. Jeremiah 31:4
God's Anointed Soldiers' goal is to spread God's word through the art of pantomime. In order to do this, they are committed to remaining passionate about the ministry and seek opportunities to enhance their skills.

The purpose of the Drama ministry is to encourage and empower others by revealing God's word through dramatic presentations.
“Each of you has been blessed with one of God’s many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well.”
